  wooden parts are sealed with a high-tech plastic
  material that keeps moisture out. This ensures
  that there is no swelling of wood.
  The plastic coating of the tripod legs makes 
  Nedo wooden tripods extremely robust and 
  weather resistant with a considerably longer
